Lake George in New Jersey!
« on: Dec 27, 2005, 04:54 PM »
Anyone familiar with Lake George in New Jersey? I was wondering if I could get any info/tips on ice fishing there. It is in Schooley's Mountain State Park. I am going to guess that it is about 20 acres and has about 20 feet of water. It's not at all like Lake George NY ;D, but it is a lot closer. I am also going to guess that there is no safe ice there now. I am not totally sure that ice fishing is legal, but they have ropes, ladders and life rings there in the winter. Actually, you could go there when the ice is 1 inch thick and go to the middle of the lake and drill a hole and fish without any danger at all. There is a floating dock all the way across the lake! My friend and I want to give it a try this winter and I don't want to go there totally stupid. We have caught fish there in open water :-[
The more I fish, the more I  to fish, but the only  I need is BEER.
