I have an older than dirt Strikemaster Mag 2000, probably around 12+ yrs.

It has a chipper blade and has been one of the mot reliable pieces of gas equipment I have ever owned. I have only had to change out the plug and have purchased a new blade that has never had to be opened. It does not have the pressure valve thing or a primer bulb. Choke it, pull 3 times and it is running.

I still have and use the ORIGINAL blade. I had it sharpened by a friend of mine years ago and he showed me how to do it myself.

If you want to buy once get a Nils, if you don't mind having to replace it buy the SM....
Ha. Get a Strikemaster. Those Nils guys are something else.

No not something else just owned the others and find the reliability of the Nils worth the money....seen 2 SM die last weekend 1 was a month old one 4 years old, partners 1 year old SM also has problems, not to mention the biggest POS I ever owned was a Mag 2000 thats still a lemon....

Nils is by far the best I've used.  I paid a little more but it was worth every penny.
