Croxton Rod Bag Mods
« on: Dec 25, 2012, 08:11 PM »
I have one of the Croxton rod bags that you can put your rods and flasher in. I was wondering if anyone has done any mods to protect rods? Maybe plastic tubes? I thought about a Otter rod case but I really like all of the storage with the Croxton. Thanks for any info or ideas.

I bought some 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" pvc water supply pipe, don't buy schedule 40 dwv it's too heavy, home desperate or blowes a 10' section is like $5.00 if I remember, cut to length for each rod then with my Dremel or Rotozip I cut a 3/4" x 6' slot for reels and line soften all cut edges with a file so you don't damage line. Love my Croxton. I thought about the tubes for golf clubs bot Dicks wanted $5 apiece too much for my wallet
