Did anybody see the fourteen day weather prediction? Highs of 10 and 12 degrees. I'm about to blow a head gasket!!!

I hear ya bud....Manny must be going bonkers right now....this is his peak fishing season....and there is none! I haven't heard of any ice at all in the province....one could shore fish with these temps!

With only 2 days in the next 2 weeks forecasting 0 to -4 temperatures...it's highly unlikely there'll be any fishable ice between now and the end of January. That being said, IF we are fortunate enough to have ice the first week of February, that will leave a maximum of 8 weeks ( and that's stretching it...) to fish. Seeing as I'll basically be fishing on weekends....that means there'll be 16 days for me to fish...That's right....16 lousy days...and that's counting 4 full weeks in March....which is a real stretch here...because even with good ice...we're normally off the 3rd week of March for safety reasons...for me this season is pretty well written off already...bring on the spring fishing shows...

Hey get out there and shore fish. I can just not imagine not having ice but heck with those type of teperatures get the boat out or go along shore. Better then nothing right.
