Dropper chain help

I am a firm beleiver in dropper hook's on jig's however I'm not that fond of the hook's that come on the hali's. I like a little different style. Does anyone know of a way to make a rig like a hali that I can put my own hook on? I just used mono last season and it worked ok but sometimes would get tangled when it was dropping thru the water. I'm guessing it is because of the weight or lack of weight. Any idea's are appriciated.

I found some old hollow tubing that was about 1/16 th of an inch in diameter and cut a couple short pieces and used that over top of mono. it worked ok last year. i originally got it when some one used it to wrap a package. the color i have is chartruse but there are probably other colors out there

Use a bead chain swivel. Open the eye on your hook and put it on your bead chain. Another way of doing it get a piece of 30lb trolling wire, cut the wire to the length you want and twist the wire to the eye on your hook.
