What do u do when u get home from a day of icefishing?

when I get home, I crack my plano boxes to dry out the lures, charge flasher, put boots on boot dryer, make sure bait puck/bag of mealworms is out of jacket, dry out clothes, put pictures on external harddrive, sit on couch and check out IS, FS, MOD, FB.  Goto sleep, repeat tomorrow if lucky!

Put all the gear away and have a nap.

Leave everything in the truck where it belongs. Nothing gets left at home that way and nothing to load and unload.  My auger and gear stay in the truck for four months straight and so does the heavy cable lock that keeps it there.

Get home, un-pack the gear, turn on the heaters in the garage, set the alaram, sleep for an hour, wakeup and clean the fish, cook them then eat them!

Clean fish, shower and nap. Find that naps after fishing are the best.

I have a nap them go on ice shanty then clean the fish and get the wife to cook them up for dinner then do it all over again the next day.

Play with our youngest son (18 months) for about an hour he's always pissed that I leave him behind and then start frying fish.

I've noticed most of you guys clean your fish when you get home, why? We always clean the couple we wanna keep, excluding perch, out on the ice, bring some bags for the fillets and for the guts, way easier to clean when the y haven't been frozen for hours and no mess at home!!

I do the same thing. Bring some baggies for the fillets and one for the guts and everything including the perch get cleaned on the ice. It's not the best on the back and I need to make a portable table but better then having the wife mad at me for cleaning them at home.

I clean my fish on the ice as well. use a piece of 1/2inch plywood and rub it down with some cooking oil to make it easy to clean off in the snow and clean them on the tail gate of a truck. Once they are frozen they get slimmed and are harder to clean as well.

When I get home I usually crack a beer, unload the truck, go inside and decide if I'm gonna move the shack/ new hooks and techniques to try. Its an addiction I spend most the week buying new gear or head out to the shack for a hour or so at night just to keep the fishing bug at bay.

I too like to clean my fish on the ice and I use the tail gate with cutting boards (I bring a big garbage bag for the guts and zip-locks for the fillets).  When I get home I put the gear back in the garage, throw out the guts, remember to put my bait in the freezer/fridge and pop my catch in the freezer/fridge (If I brought something home).  Then I put my electronics away, dry what needs drying and finally sit down and relax.

Take a shower, Then a nap, and the next day put away my ice fishing gear.

Unload the truck, pour a shot and clean fish [if I catch any], pour another shot and cook the fish. clean up my mess I made while cooking, take a shower and go to bed and dream about the fish I should have caught!

I leave everything but the fish in the car, clean fish next morning.  Next day charge flasher, get gear ready for next adventure.  I like the nap idea.  I shower then have some dinner.
