Burbot Bash Cancelled??

On another fishing site, a guy posted this:

"I just got word from the Daggett County office and Brian Raymond, the Daggett County Economic Development Director, that the Flaming Gorge Chamber of Commerce has cancelled the Burbot Bash due to deteriorating and dangerous ice conditions."

Has anyone here heard this to be true? It makes sense, but is it official?

I just got off the phone with the folks at Buckboard Marina and they confirmed the same, the BB is cancelled  :(

I have received a call from the Manila Chamber of Commerce that the Bash is indeed cancelled for the year. They will be processing refunds soon.

It was destined to happen with the way the ice is deteriorating and with the recent drowning! Prayers to the family! No ice is worth a person's life!
