Going to Chalet beach (first time)

I am heading to the mouth of the river or some where near buy it.  I've never fished there before.  Can anyone who is willing pass on some tips.  What depth,  lure, bait etc...

don't stay in one spot if our not catching.... keep moving. run and gun until you find fish.

We fished here in 8 fow with no luck!  Had a couple minnow stealers at around 4 and went home empty handed!  Oh well.  It was a beautiful day anyways!
