Went out today to Adam Lake MB and caught some nice ones. Here is a video i put together of the days activities. hope it works

awesome video...how big were those pike you caught?..hard to tell from the underwater view. I've never jigged for pike, i think i will have to start.

Some around 2-3 lbs which i would try to avoid due to lack of minnows. But some ranged from 5-12lbs which gave a nice fight. We caught so many and our minnow supplies were so low that we started just playing with the little ones. (Pulling the bait away on them or dropping it to the ground just before they pounced, It was funny to see how mad they get when they miss a strike)

Great video. About how far from the bait was the camera? was it sitting right on the bottom? How do you keep your minnow from falling off the jig? especially when your jigging and it's flopping around.

Depending on the water clarity it varies, but for this situation it was set up 2 to 2 1/2 feet away. The camera was just off the bottom as you can see the weeds on the video, And for the minnow not falling off i only rapid jig like that when the minnow is still frozen cause it holds onto the hook a little better once its been in the water for a few minutes i don't jig like that, but we were on a hot spot so most strikes were in the 1 to 2 minute time period.

Nice videos. You should enter them on the Aqua View website. They have an area to post videos. I think they also have a competition for best videos also.

i just showed that video to my dad who thought it was pretty cool. he hasn't caught a pike in 30+ years or so since he lived back in Ontario.

I agree. This was a great video to get all reved up about going ice fishing. Just waiting for some safe ice.

I wasn't planning on it, I'm going to hit a few more lakes up in the Porcupine mountains and see if i can get some walleye footage, and maybe some Rainbow's.
