Wax Worm Farming

Well i started my own wax worm farm about 3 days ago. All of them are doing good eating well on the honey and cereal used as the medium. I have two containers with large size wax worms in them about 75 in each container. Question is out of the 150 waxies im thinking maybe 40 of them will turn into female moths. How may waxies do you think they will produce? Not sure how many larvae a female moth can hatch. I can take pic if needed to help anyone make there own.

I raised waxworms for 23 years, but haven't raised them for 27 years.  I always started my batch with 15 worms.  You would never know how many were male or female. With 15 worms I would get any where between 5,000 and 10,000. So with the amount of worms you put in yours, it is unimaginable how many you could get......Maybe 30,000 to 40,000.

yeah. i dont think it would be a good idea to start a colony inside a living area. oh look there goes 20,000 maggots.
