Gentleman,

I used old metal band aid boxes. Also they say when storing wax worms for a long period of time they should be between 50 and 55 degrees. I found that a wine cooler is perfect for them. You have adjustable temp and 50 degrees is perfect.

i use the frabill crawler can and put waxis on one side and minnow heads on the other, this allows me to switch up quickly for the bigger perch/walleye.. plus you can even keep a small amount of whole live minnows if need be.....

may you have tight lines and good times, we'll see you on the water

i could just see my wife reaching for the chardonay and getting a handful of waxies...it wouldn't go over well at all.  unless she'd already been drinking, then she'd wonder how the worm got out of the tequila!!!

BTW, i use bait pucks too.

I prefer to let the woodchips and waxies just roam free in my pockets.  JK, Actually the case on my ICE-55 has little mesh pockets, so I just keep the waxies in the original plastic packaging and put them in the mesh pockets.  has seemed to work good for me so far.

I like plastic prescription pill containers, with the push and twist open top, tap a few out in your hand, pick one or 2 out, and pour the rest back into the container. And they won't accidentally open up in your pocket. When I get home I put them back into a bigger container and I keep them cool in a corner of my basement.

They do work great for wax worms.  As well as for spawn sacks during salmon season. I remember years ago leaving them in the cheap plastic container and in my pocket.  Had my jacket sitting in my taxidermy studio once and when I walked in, I had flys big enough to mount.  Yup, the cap came off. Pill bottles work great.

I vote for the Bait Puck! 50 degrees is the ideal temp for Waxies - leaky basement window sill temperature.

Perfect!!  FYI......what ever you put them in, don't put them in the frig at frig temps.  Frig temps actually shortens the shelf life.

Bait Pucks for me...I even store them in there after fishing before the next trip! They work great...for spikes I usually take them out of the puck and store them in the fridge.

It's a fine line between fishing & sitting on the ice like an idiot
