Lots of river access in town. Or are you planning on drilling holes?  Closest is Frenchtown pond. Anything else will be 30+ plus mins of driving each way. (Beavertail, harpers, salmon)

agree with mf, but if you do river fishing make sure no bait, artifial lures only. Closed season for fishing with bait untill third week of May.

If you are driving down from Kalispell to Missoula and it fits into your schedule, you could hit Ninepipes.  Just remember you need a reservation permit to fish there.

I would take 83 back to Kalispell and fish Harpers, Salmon, Seeley or Upsata on the way.
