I've done OK with them... I prefer the Gulp Alive 1" shiners.

I use the waxies for gills and I also tip perch and crappie baits with them.  I like them but the real stuff is better IMO.

I got some of the gulp one inch minnows in smelt color. I have been using them in a tiny jighead haven't caught anything yet but figured they may work for a trout or two.

I definatly prefer using the real deal. I have used and caught fish on the gulp and if for some reason i didnt have spikes, i would use the gulp for sure. Only complaint is that the jar leaks that damn juice all over the top of my tackle box. I even put a layer of teflon tape around the threads, and it still leaks. They need to fix that prob for sure!!!

I love them.  I got tired of the maggots turning black on me in the fridge, and forgetting to buy new ones every few weeks...  I've had the same can in my box for a few years now.  They usually get me a perch on the ice so I can start using eyes.

I've not had good luck with them, but have had great luck with the Waxies and minnow heads.  No idea what the difference is, but I haven't gotten a look on the spikes.

I have used them for the first time this year and like them, seems to me that when the fish turn into lookers on the vex that they will snatch up the gulp maggots.  I just wish they were a little more durable.
