Granby Ice Reports
« on: Dec 16, 2013, 10:57 PM »
I have read on other forums that Granby has capped.  Does anyone think that Granby is going to be fishable this weekend? I am trying to make plans and could use an update as to what it looks like up there.  I'm looking to pull my first laker through the ice EVER on Saturday!

The lake is not frozen yet. It has ice on it but not ready to walk on yet.  This warm weather will delay the opening a bit. See this site for a view of the lake and weather info!

Yeah I see that, I'm praying it builds an inch or four before Saturday!

I really don't see much chance of that happening. It's in the 40's today and tomorrow and then slightly colder the remainder of the week. I do not think these temps will put 1 - 4" inches on the lake. Check my site for more details or email me for a direct report on Friday or Sat. if you wish.

If you really have the itch, you need to find a shallower lake.  Granby ices late.  Usually Jan before I feel safe getting out there.
There is no such thing as bad weather - only bad clothing.
