Headed out early this morning to fish on the big lake for the first time this year, got into em pretty good. Had an unreal day on the ice, must have been doing something right.

Had a lot of action, only a few missed opportunities but overall had pretty good luck today. Every catch was a decent fish, Seems the fish are healthy and of better size than in years past, in my opinion. Didn't see schools of smelt under every hole but pulled lots of fat fish from em. Good to know they're eating

haha, yep my spots are classified for a reason

The 3.8lber was bleeding hard from the gills so it was kept for table fare. The rest were sent back down the hole. I really would have liked to have kept both of the larger ones in retrospect; that would have made an awesome mount. But I fish for fun not for keeps.
