cayuga/seneca
« on: Mar 16, 2006, 12:39 PM »
I heard a rumor that says the bluegills and sunfish are on at cayuga. Apparently the "ditch" next to the railroad tracks, (by mud lock) is loaded with bluegills and also heard that the sunfish are being caught somewhere in the lake itself. Can anyone confirm or deny this rumor? I was thinking of trying it from the boat on saturday. :-\

Also heard that guys are fishing seneca lake state park for the sunfish. Would love to try that too.
Again...anyone with any info on this spot?

thanks

If your going out in the boat you should be able to see the schools of fish if the water is clam. There is a channel that runs about a mile long south of the railroad bridge. Its shallow elsewhere if your not in the channel and its marked with bouys and be careful if the water is clam and clear becuase the fish will spook easy and move. The fishing should be preatty good, let us know on how you make out
People should educate themselfs before speaking, instead of speaking and showing their mentality.

If you fish Glass House Bay south of Geneva on the west side you'll hit the perch. deinitely need your fish finder. It is north of Roy's Marina. Good Luck and be careful. The winds on Seneca can get the waves going in a short time........
