ice around helena

anyone having any luck finding decent ice besides the holding resevior and spring meadow? got a buddy coming out from VA

I fished the causeway yesterday and measured 4 inches just out from the parking area but there was open water ~100 yards out so it likely thins out fast. There were people on the lake helena side as well but I didnt check out ice thickness there.

Nevada Reservoir is only an hourish away, I measured 11-14" last weekend, and i'ts actually winter over there, so I would guess that has built some.
