Wind River Algonquin boots

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these boots . They are rated to -100deg. I like the sole and overall they look like a good buy@ 89.00 . any help would be appreciated

Hi Guy,

I saw some of the boots at marks yesterday,  different makes some looked good,  one thing about cold weather boots NEVER BUY STEEL TOE boots unless you are in construction or or your job requires them.  the steel in the cold radiates the cold.

The ones I looked at didn't have steel toes . They are the Algonquins. On sale for $89..  You are right though about the steel toes ! They draw the cold.

On the Marks website it says they're rated to -70 and on sale for $79.99

Marks usually makes a pretty good product, but i have learned over the past few years that you need to put some money into a good pair of boots. I have bought 3 pairs in the past 6 years, finally settling on some cabelas trans alaskans pak boot. It was over double what I had paid for each the last three pairs, but i wont be replacing them anytime soon
