artic warrior jig setup

i bought 2 of them and got to use them last weekend. i have them set up for large fish like pike or tiger muskies.any one catch any large fish on these? have u had any problems?

Ive only used them to set up for panfish. I would think that with pike, you would want to have the weight far back so a minnow doesn't trip it. They work pretty good except that the flag system doesn't always work right. Sometimes when you set the flag, it will pull the rod down and trip itself. You gotta bend the wire to make it work.

ya i noticed that in order to get it to work right u had to bend the flag wire. hopefully i will get a pike on one this weekend.

Kind of afraid that this thing will be pulled into the hole really easy, slides really easy...I'm thinking of getting a little anchor for the thing.  Maybe anchor and lanyard.  ;D

i bought a cheap rod/reel set-up for my artic warrior and I taped the metal seat righ to the rod, that velcro set-up was crap. I also had to bend the flag a bit as it was to sensative
