I'm in as well for Feb 11th.... Swartswood or Aeroflex...   hopefully a life jacket is the grand prize this year!  ;-)

Feb 11th is perfect...if would be a week after the KDC tourny and a week before a possible 2nd KDC tourny if the Jan 22nd one get cancelled, which looks like is a good possibilty.

Lk Hopatcong would be my prefrence...but i will go wherever it is.

Swartswood would be a nice change but Hopatcong always lends itself better for a great outing. The date doesn't matter

After thinking about it more Aeroflex would be a nice place .There is a ton of parking & They have BIG Trout , SM & LM Bass, Crappies, Perch, really big Pickerel, Sunny's, Catfish. It is esay to get to only maybe 8 mins off of RT 80

As a site newbie with limited hardwater experience, it would be great to meet some of the regulars, see the gear, swap lies, errr I mean fish stories and have a little friendly competition. I would be up for anything as long as there is decent ice. If I had to vote.... Aeroflex on February 5th. (The heck with the Superbow).

Shawn what's the tally so far ?

Are you keeping tabs on the ice conditions ?

We need to make a choice this week and get the ball rolling.  ;D

LoneWolf,

I'm not familiar with Aeroflex, please post directions and such if it's chosen as the site.

There's no info on the Report and Conditions Forum.

My vote is for Swartswood or hopactcong because Aeroflex takes a long time to lock up and very little ice is present

Doug, this is what I have as the tally so far...

Aeroflex- 5
Hopatcong- 6
Swartswood- 2

Also have 1 vote for Aero or hopat, 1 vote for aero or swarts, and 1 vote for swarts or hopat.  You can double check it but I am pretty sure I got it right so far.

And dave I would think that it would take hopatcong longer than aeroflex to fully ice up because it is definitly a lot bigger. I'm not sure which would ice up faster if you compared swartswood and aeroflex.

Doug,
I have a notepad here so I will keep track of the totals so it gives you one less thing to do haha, maybe even give you 5 minutes to relax!

Count me in on Feb 11. Aeroflex is my first choice. Never hardwater fished before. Keep me posted.

BTW, took a ride to Greenwood yesterday. Open water. What a bummer.

We may have to relocate our derby out-of-state if this weather continues.  >:(

Well so far old man winter hasn't been good to us .  :(

They're saying February is going to get back to normal temps.  ;D

I'm proposing we have Webguy watching Hopatcong and Shawn watching Aeroflex.
When we get word of safe ice we'll post a date for the derby. It may be short notice .... maybe only a week or two.

At this point it's the best we can do besides going out of state.  ;)
