Ice report

I just checked the ice on the lake that I spear on and I think that I might be watching a little Norwegian TV tomorrow!!!!!!!
Anyone else have any ice to speak of?

4"-6" seems to be about average around here.

Season doesn't open here in Michigan till the 1st.  No ice regardless!

I've been hearing guys have been out in northern lower michigan since last weekend

Well I got my house out on the ice this Friday. Sat for about an hour but the lake was all turned up and visibility was only about 2’. I will be going back out this evening and hope the lake has settled. When I put the house out yesterday I had 9”. I will post pics tonight if I stick anything.

I had to do some work on my permanent shack but I should have it done today and on the ice.
Cold front and wind came in last night so it will be a challenge.

I will give a ice report this evening.

 I am still hunting, and it looks like a warm up coming into mid MI. I need to get auger out, and running, and this year, I am taking an old beat up shapell 2000, and cutting one side out for chucking. I think sunday it is supposed to go to 42. sounds like a good day to get ready
