Wow, it's warm!
« on: Dec 27, 2008, 01:57 PM »
I'm glad this stuff is going to get rid of the snow on the ice, but I didn't know it was going to get this warm today!  This rain run off is still going to take it's toll along the shorelines!

It kind of reminds me of the rain and warm weather we had this last January,it destroyed the ice. Cooler temps are coming so let`s keep our fingers crossed.

Wonder how long a 2x8 it'll take......

My shanty used to float but rear corners are wore thru now.

I came back from my sons house in Lyons today along 1st. Ave and then up River rd. to Devon. All the way back the Des Plaines is up it looks like if it raises about another foot it will be out the road. It could be rough for the people down in Riverside. I hope this lets up soon.

it should be alright on the chain. the shores are done but the main slab is okay. my only concern is there being enough water drainage through the ice. if it freezes on top it will be a royal pain. it looks to be getting cold enough soon.
