I go for panfish only, so my advice should be taken with a grain of salt. The larger lakes in southern WI are more likely to have northerns of size. Not sure of any good or great walleye lakes - might have to go north. Tip ups are the way to go. Use treble hooks with minnows. This advice is based on what I picked up from the forums here in the shanty. Any resemblance to real or imaginary lakes, tip ups or minnows is purely coincidental. Good luck on your trip.
