1/2/2013 First ice

Went out like i wanted to check the thickness of ice on a small pond in Andover. Got there and drilled 4 or 5 holes about 15 ft apart from one another and found 3 1/2 inches of ice. So of course i brought the jigging pole and had a few mealworms on me so gave it a go. i caught 2 perch and a sunfish in about 45 minutes with multiple misses and lost one nice pickeral at the hole.  I only have a picture of the perch i cant seem to download the other ones. Was great to get out but left quick cause i had stuff to do at home.

Hit up the pond the following day as planned. Only jigging went on. Managed 4 perch , 7 Sunfish, and one nice pickeral at 24-25inches. will try to post up pictures tonight! All fish were caught on a kastmaster tipped with mealworm
