There's not too much ice fishing down there but Remps can tell you more as he lives down there.

there are some up in the malahats, but you need a serious 4x4 to get there. We is fished louis lake one year as well. Sweet fat fish

well dont be silly, go fish the ocean for salmon feeders or grab a huge hali. your ice will wait. I have a contacts like crazy there if you need a cheap trip .

You're right on that, and it will be really the best time for ice fishing when I get back there!

There are lakes that do freeze and can be ice fished but with the weather we have been having lately down here there won't be a lot. And like salmoncandy mentioned, you'll need something that you can get in there with... the only thing stopping me though last year the local lakes here did freeze over and I did get a day or two on the ice which was pretty fun.
