Vexilar or MarCum?

Just wanted to say hello to everyone since I am new here and wish everyone a safe and successful ice fishing season.  I do have just one question.  I own a vexilar fl-12 and all of my fishing buddies have them too.   My question is which of the 2 fish finders ( Vexilar or Marcum) do you think has better separation or just overall quality?  I have never seen a MarCum in action, but have heard great things about them and was in the market at looking to buy a new one and sell mine.  Thoughts?

On average, Marcum has about a tenth of an inch advantage.

Marcum all the way.

The new Vex 28 is nice but in my opinion it is the same as the older Vex's.  Lipstick on a pig if ya ask me.

not trying to start an argument but older vexilars required brushes where the newer ones do not as well as the addition of digital depth readout and some other nice features not included on older models. But still...to each his own. This has been debated for ever and there really is no winner...just personal preference.

Vexilar 90% of the market for a reason, Great battery life, very reliable ,resale value.

Depends on which Marcum.  My buddy is on his 3rd LX7 and I had to give him an old battery to make it run last weekend.

I have a 7 year old FL-20 and all I am having to do is change the battery for the first time and love it.
