Back off the drag for reels in storage
« on: Dec 10, 2009, 06:42 PM »
Well for those of you who have to store your summer reels.  Don't forget to back off the drags on your reels.  Most of my spinning reels have oil felt drags, so I don't want them to become compressed over time.  I do the same for my baitcasting reels with the addition of loosening the cast control knob.  I don't want the material in it to become compress either.  Keeps my reels in good performance.

I always have. I know a lot of people don't. It is definitely a good practice.
