  • When the going is tough. The tough go ice fishing!
Mills Point Colchester
« on: Mar 03, 2010, 05:12 AM »
I have been eyeing this area on a map, but have never fished it.  I am a pike fisherman and want to know if anyone has had much luck for pike in this area of mallets bay?

Not looking for your very best fishing spot......just want to know if I am wasting my time or if I should just fish the sandbar.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks....woody

So no body has fished this area?

May have to put in some research hours I guess.

Thanks Motorfisher.....I am thinking about giving it a whirl this weekend.  Just hope the ice conditions dont get worse.

Took a ride out to see where to get on and it looks like there is a small parking area for the bike path where one would need to walk down to get on the lake.....lots of camps and no real public access (which is becoming more typical)

To make it easier I plan to get dropped off so I wont have a vehicle to worry about.

If anyone has interest in fishing I will be happy to meet up.

Just let me know by tonight as to make arrangements.

If anyone has been on the ice in that location and wants to provide any feedback it would be appreciated, but I do think the ice is still in good shape.

Wdy
