arctic armor for open water?

 Just wondering if anyone uses there Arctic armor during early spring or fall open water? and if so does it work well or should I consider a rain suit(windproof waterproof suit). thanks

I am going out into the atlantic may 6 or so and might bring mine. It depends on the temps. If it is at all warm like above 45 the suit would be too hot.

 thanks, It is a warm suit I was just wondering because I need good rain gear that has a little insulating quality. any suggestions?  :-\

Most rain suits (bibs and jacket) will cut the wind so that is a great start. I have 2 I use. One is a high end Cabelas gore-tex green and black and the other is a cabelas dry plus camo. Both actually keep me warm with a bit of layering if needed. I actually use the camo one during ML season with just long johns under it and stay warm.
