Walleye spoons
« on: Nov 21, 2018, 02:21 PM »
What do people like to use for eyes?  I have tried everything from rippin raps to swedish pimples.  Curious what people's "go-to's" are.

Slender spoons
Funniest thing about ice fishing for me is when people who know nothing about ice activities try to warn me about the dangers of the ice...

What type of pole do you guys use when using the baits listed, my main poles are for pan fish and I have tried heavier baits and they are just to light.

are you using a medium or medium heavy with 6lb test

I would like to try jig rap

medium light will handle most lures you need easily up to 3/8 oz weight.

If you're going to use lures like 1/4 - 5/8 oz weight, go medium power

Anything heavier than 1/2 oz to 1 oz or sow, medium heavy

5/8 oz to over 1 oz + go Heavy.

every rod by each mfg will vary some...

I like more backbone for fishing jigging raps and blades. Really helps me rip them up and make them vibrate.  My setup is a Frabill 38” heavy rod with 8 lb fluoro.  Works for me.
