Anybody still heading there this weeknd to fish after the big cold front? I'm going Sunday, and was wonder if I was the only one on the lake that day.

Minnow bucket in Huntley or the Pryor Creek Bait company in Laural.

I do think that's the craziest and weirdest request I've ever read here on IS!  I almost fell outta my chair when I read that... Then I saw Bullelk34's reply and yes I literally fell out of the chair laughing so hard!   My wife is looking at me right now with that look on her face that asks the question,"remind me again why it was I married you"

Thanks guys I needed that! Oh yes, I'd sign off with the usual Good fishin' but I don't think that applies in this case :o - OH

Yo, I'm still laughing at this chat, read the beginning. My report, fished Tongue today from 6:30am - 2:00pm. I use an aquaview so I can also see the hits. Pretty fun! I caught 15 perch and kept a few. I did see 2 good size walleye, but they would not take the bait. They just kept nosing the bait. Almost. Also saw a nice Bass, I wasn't ready for him. The camera sure make its a lot easier. Going back in 2 weeks. Will fish from 8:30am to dark next time. Not to bad.  Thanks, Cold Front made it hard.

Been out on tongue a few times this year. Hammered the perch nonstop pretty much and hauled in quite a few eyes, but only a few of size. Handful of baby northern but know of people who were spearing and fishing for northerns specifically (we were focused more on eyes) that were brining in some  35"+  the lake seems to be doing really good. Also have friends who were fishing down by the inlet and hammered crappies.

You can buy minnows at the marina as well. There is a vending machine there but it only takes $1 and $5 so be prepared. If you call the BCNU there bait shop in sheridan the owner is the one who stocks it and you can meet him out there usually around 8 if you want larger minnows.

My perch were all around 8 inches, nothing huge. Was in about 23 feet of water. How deep have some of you other guys been fishing Tongue?? Thanks

I caught crappie earlier in 10 fow.  Lately it's been 30 to 35 fow--not because I quit catching them in 10 feet, I just switched areas to add a bit of variety. . .so I'm not sure whether they are still shallow, too, or not.  Size has been diminishing, but still manage to ice a few 10"-plus fish from the deeper water, along with some perch.

Was there twice in past month. Fished various depths and further towards dam than anyone else....only had success in 30-35' for the perch...around 30 one day and 20 the next time.  Good size. Several in the 10" range.  Caught a few Crappie down there too and a buddy caught three 'eyes' in a few hours during the middle of the day. Didn't see any Pike.

Have never been to TRR so asking if ATV is a great benefit to get around or are access points such that you can cover most of the fishing areas by walking? TIA for any info!
