What Have You Lost While On Ice??

I asked Earlier what you guys have found while fishing, But what have you guys forgotten or lost while fishing??  One time I forgot a small pile of gills I left in a snow pile, but I went back to the lake to pick 'em up.  My buddy lost 2 tip-ups under the snow after a snowstorm, but we found 'em that night once the flags got tripped.

I lost a camera,a couple lighters, and my buddy lost his cell phone all went down the hole never to return.

I lost my 6x8 portable........so much for nice guys on the ice.........as well as a sunflower heater a few rods a couple buckets yeah they took it all wasnt real happy but life goes on and there are fish to be caught so I am outta here see ya

 I found a pretty nice ice dipper, and lost that same ice dipper on the same lake roughly in the same spot I found it about 10 years later, talk about ironey. oh well  got my $'s worth, and now I am sure some other lucky person has a nice ice dipper.

A few years back during the Winni Derby. I had my 4 man portable destroyed by heavy winds.

I've also lost a couple cell phones over the years that have fallen out of a pocket while running to flags    ( got wet/broke )

I have not lost anything on the ice, BUT, my best ice fishing buddy has. He lost his apple Iphone down the hole, his Iphone that he paid $1000.00 for on eBay when Iphone first came out. lol he still is mad about it when I rub it in ........MM

lost bucket with nice jig rod  and about $100.00 jigs worth hope they enjoy them, cell phone another time told my gal to call my phone because I miss placed it I asked if there was an answer she said no I told her we must have caught them all  0nly had it 3 weeks  humor level was not as high as I hoped

one morning last year  my buddy lost his hut out of the back of truck (Rover Flip 2 man) gas auger was on top. made amess of the highway all his gear was inside the hut. make sure when transporting  flip portables you have a cover for them or it it will open up, and fly like a kite. he had bunges on it, just stretched em .  he learned big lesson, my eskimo has cover and never had a problem. lost a scoop down my buddies honey hole, throwing  back and forth . lost a rod and reel, to something large.

Lost the foam cover on my bucket lid in high winds....and a whole spool of dacron to something I can only imagine was rather large.  Was SORELY tempted to reach in and grab it, but I knew there wouldn't have been time to take my coat off, as it was disappearing quickly down the hole, and I didn't want to soak my arm.  Instead I ran for my gaff hoping I could hook the spool, but it was gone when I got back.  To this day I regret the choice to keep my arm dry.

Several skimmers (I now just get the cheap serving spoons with holes in them for under a buck!), a few lighters, several jigs (mostly to big fish), a couple Schooley rods, nothing really huge and the fun on the ice always compensated for it.

 Watched my buddy Killer drop a swiss army knife down a hole after he just explaned how it was handed down from his granddad. If any one fishes lake Mac. in Holland  Mi. its in 22fow out in front of the Ottawa Beach Inn. It stinks to watch a grown man cry.

Lost my old solid wood jig stick to some damn pike in 1993.

 have so much 'stuff' that i usually dont miss a depth finder, or a jig or two,,,usually just consider it in a different pocket, box, sled, etc....but those dang buckets and bucket lids can get caught in the wind and fly like the devil.....I was just cleaning my 'fishing area' in the garage and have 3 nice minnie buckets without lids.....ugh......

Almost lost a leg and some nuts down a 10" hole.  Good thing they're attached well.  Soaking wet but still kept them intact.

I had one of those boga lip grabbers.  During open water I went to grab my buddies pike ( about 34 " ) and he thrashed and broke the line with the lip gripper still attached!!!! I wonder it the gripper came out or he's swimmin around with it stuck to his jaw.

Also during openwater I was casting a big bobber and shiner for some pike, I went to set the hook on a fish and the line was wrapped around the rod tip. The line busted but I could see the bobber swimming around the lake all day. We caught up to the bobber and It turned out to be a small pike not big enough to pull the bobber under water!!

sounders, a couple scoops, kicked a rod holder down the hole during a hot bite. last year fishing with my daughters fiance, started off the lake about midnight with a bucket full of crappies. got home with no fish
