January Trip

Made a late afternoon run to a southern NH pond. Checked ice with spud as I went and it seemed ok, so I ventured out to the spot I wanted to try. Drilled a couple of holes and found ice was thinner than I had thought/hoped/preferred, but I was out there so I fished for an hour. Picked the right spot as I landed 4 crappie jigging (didn't bring traps or bait). Nothing huge, but a good first outing of the season. Hopefully ice will be much better when I get out again in Feb.

Good stuff Dennis, nice eaters there. I seen a guy out yesterday on the little pond up the street from my shop and wondered if it might be you but it was in the morning.
