I have a Yamaha Rhino 700 that I use on the hardwater once in awhile. It handles just fine on the ice & snow. It's nice to throw a bunch of gear in the box, hook a sled to the rear, and head onto the hardwater. I usually don't run it on the ice until there is about 10 inches, but I have run it on 6 inches before & that was pushing my comfort zone. It's twice as heavy as my 4-wheeler, so I'm a bit more cautious with it. Suggestions: UTV windshield, winch, tow strap, & tire chains. Stay within your comfort zone & be safe out there!!
