Met up with Frozen Shiner, Porter, Lenz, Boscoe,his son Austin, Stealth, and Flaggs....very slow for the pike, but busy with huge perch, a few bass and Boscoes VERY nice 5.3 lb salmon....Good Eats and nice weather....Porter's wife Jenna visited with their cute daugher Emma...

I only got out there for a short visit this afternoon. It was great to see everyone, Karl, thanks for the ride and the loan of your Showdown. My Showdown was charged, it had blown a fuse. It's good to go again.

Disclaimer--this post conforms to the new CC fishing results requirement.
no bait was unduly harmed...

a good day for me, didn't get a chance to sit from 8 -10 am. Total tally for the day was 14 perch ( a few 12" 1lb, taken home by Boscoe to enjoy) and 2 small bass around 1.7.

i had Boscoe's son Austin catch a perch and he was running around the ice ..'i caught a fish'..priceless. But later on we hear a scream..Austin was bouncing his 'favorite' superball off the ice and it bounced hi in the air and into a hole...total meltdown..
we calmed him down by blaming Boscoe for bring his fave ball onto the ice..ha ha ha

Flaggs showed uo at 10:30..something about a 'meeting at the club last nite'...hmmm

Jenna hiked all the way out with cutie Emma in a backpack while Porter rode Uno's 4-wheeler...hmmm

we saw the 4 wheeler that Porter will buy..

a great day with a great bunch of coconuts..

Its always a pleasure to drive up from CT to fish with a great bunch of guys from the Mass Ice Shanty. As said before the perch bite was on early and then everything kinda slowed down after 11. Not just us either - everyones action just came to a halt. Catching the salmon was a big suprise and a treat. Huge thanks to Porter for reaching into the hole and grabbbing it before it had a chance to snap off. BTW, update on Flagg's auger - it ran great and in no time he was turning Flint into Swiss cheese. Also, much better seeing him under dryer circumstances this time. Thanks to Unoman and Flaggs for the food too - those guys do it right! Hope to see you all soon. Austin had a great time and proved it with a nice nap all the way home

card carrying memeber of AARP for 4 years now..and proud of it..buwah!

all my perch were on tilts using heavy shiners, 2 perch were not even hooked, they just wouldn't let go..DOH!

Nice!! I never seem to catch those hog perch jigging!! They want MORE than the little pimple and worm!!
Although, last week while pulling in perch after perch on the ultra light at sneakerville,

a 3.95lbs. pickerel decided
it was good enough!!!!

Great time out there guys and a BIG congrats to Boscoe on his 1st Salmon ever. Thanks to Uno for an amazing egg sandwich, Frozen for the use of his quad, Flaggs for the delicious sausage hogie and to the rest of the cocunuts for tons of laughs! Even got to meet Roncarr out there and chat about jigging techniques... SWEET! Tight lines!
