Winter storm "Herculies"
« on: Jan 01, 2014, 10:22 AM »
If any of you didn't know, winter storm Herculies is the storm coming Thursday into Friday. Anyways, its gunna be cold and windy, so I think the snow should stay off the ice somewhat. What're your thoughts on it?

Hopefully just a little stays for traction purposes.

Let's hope it's very windy too. Blow the snow off into the woods where it belongs. :P

I fished a tourney years ago in Vermont in those temps. Not fun. Thought I would die.

30-50 mph winds...that ain't good for the spots that aren't locked up. Stump lock up yet?? Lincoln Woods still has open areas.

I'm going to Lincoln woods Saturday hopefully... But I fished twice today but both on small local ponds. All together got 8 flags and landed 4 fish, biggest being a 2 lb bass and caught 3 other decent sized perch. Ice averaged 4-6 inches.

Sunday may be the killer.  That bad R-A-I-N word and 50 degrees...  Gonna make this snow quite heavy.

I'm thinking about going out somewhere soon. It's going to be miserable, but could be totally worth it. Any takers?  :icefish:
