$80 for a non-resident, while high, is not out of line in my opinion. The state needs to make money, why not on the out-of-staters? I guess I won't be fishing in CT for pike this year after all.

I don't think it is just the non res guy's. The guys on the CT site are pissed as well!

I don't know what it was for a resident last year but this year it's $40.

Last year was $20 for a resident... Everything went up across the board. From drivers licences to my charter license.

Between charter and and bait permits, I'm paying almost $550 per year in permits to the state now... Maybe this will reduce the competition a bit.

  Polish,Pike and Beer! Not worth the eighty bucks, the Winnie derby ain't worth the time and energy plus the coin for going up to that dump. I don't know what I'm going to do this year Johnsons, Watermans, Stump the Dump, Stillwater, Pachog, Hopelessvile, Quadick all within twenty min's from the house oh and did I say Mansfield is just a half and hour away, oh the horror I can't decided where to go I guess I'll have another Bud and ponder this question ;
