Talk about winning a tournament
« on: Mar 03, 2008, 12:47 PM »
I got this out of the paper a couple of years ago....
A little goes a long way.....
OSLO, Norway - A Norwegian won more then $900 in a fishing contest for pulling in two fish that weighed a total of 0.12 ounces.
Jan Petter Johansen was among 66 fishermen in the first ever ice-fishing contest near Skjervoey, in northern Norway, Sunday. No one caught anything except Johansen, who noticed two sticklebacks caught in some seaweed he pulled up.
He got first prize and $770, for his monster 0.07 ouncer. Second place, and $154, was awarded for his 0.05 ouncer.

I always knew they were some good icefishers over there. I just didn't realize how good they were.
