Here in Chautauqua County, they are figuring between 50,000 to 1 million people converging on the county and preparing for worst case scenarios with rescue vehicles and the additional traffic. The county is suggesting that schools not be open as the time line for the eclipse is during dismissal bus runs.

It won't be anywhere close to 1,000,000 people driving there or anywhere to see this. But, you certainly will notice a big increase in traffic that day. Probably the closest drive for Pittsburgh PA residents. Put up a roadside stand in the morning selling the eclipse glasses and anything else you have been meaning to try and sell. 

I don't think I will ever get an opportunity this good to see one in my life, so I am planning to drive  > 3 hours to the Adirondacks to experience this.

It was dark for several days in a row here this summer because of the wildfires smoke..😎😎

if you have  never seen a  total solar eclipse  it's simply amazing  .....  you see the  shadow  start then it  becomes  dark   and  as soon as it does  the  frogs  started  chirping  then as  soon as  it became  light  the  night sounds  ended i been lucky enought to experience two totals    get the glasses early and get extras

Question is...will the perch bite pick up?

 i can say that april 8th  if you can get on ice or fish open water the perch bite should be good

...........  And with the sun's rays not reaching the Earth for 3.5 minutes, that should help reverse global warming a little, and make for an earlier than normal start to the 2024 ice fishing season !!!!!!!
