hav been fishing small boat harbor and have been seeing alot of largies on the camera i was just wondering if there r anyways you can target the bass without using tipups well looking for tips thanks

only can target them artificial lures and C/R.   no live bait.

oh.....idk.   never went after them on hardwater but i'd think # 5 jigging raps would work just fine.......#4 or # swedish pimps......... or panfish jigs........i was jigging for gills and perch last week at SBH and caught a bass........someone else did as well.  there's a pic on the SBH reports condition page

i catch them on sweedish pimpels when im jigging for crappie

^ this is exactly how i do it on the finger lakes... an i cant say ive done better or worse with any of those options cuz ive caught quite a few while jiggin blue gills. with the rap vary how much you lift it an then just jiggle it a little then let it sit still, youll figure out how they want it that day. ya fished honeyeye last year and they were killing them on jigging raps right in front of the launch all i got was perch and gills

gotten quite a few of em on jiggin raps,  rattle traps, kast masters,and even small jigs tiped with spikes when goin for panfish.  Maybe they just arnt overly that picky where im fishing either!

Bass will hit the Jigging Rapala.  Use that if you have it.
