Sonar Carrying Case
« on: Dec 25, 2006, 07:20 PM »
Anyone make a homemade thing for regular fish sonars? Something to mount finder, battery & transducer on w/ a handle, similiar to how the vexilars are setup? I think I'm going to make something w/ extendable arm that I will mount the transducer on(skimmer).. Anyone do this?

Either cut and paste the link, or click on the link, then remove the ftp:// and it will work then.  That is a nice set up dark.

Ah, that's exactly what I was thinking. You used all aluminum though? I was thinkin about going a little more lightweight.. I guess it would be pretty difficult to use anything besides wood/metal. Could you actually get raw pieces of heavy plastic that would be used to make something like that?
