Anyone for lakers?
« on: Jan 10, 2007, 01:58 PM »
Any BCers interested in getting your name on that category? Maybe we can sweep the board again in one outing ;D. I'm thinking I might target them later this month but need to get my snowmachine fixed first. I'm aiming for over 40 inches this year....50 would be mounted.

I figured you would be in for sure FS. I just ordered a 10 inch auger (lower unit) for my power auger, and of course new blades for my 8 inch. With the 10 inch we should be able to pull most big sizes of lakers thru. That way won't have to drill 3 holes side by side.

Us BCers are a little leathered on the outer skin. It allows us to camp out in extreme temps. So I think you Blue should get your carcuss out here to get some time in say maybe mid September to toughen yours up. You could stand toe to toe with a Grizzly bear....take a dip in Glacier water (On most things shrivel up when they hit that water, but with us toughened BCers, there is just a mild pull upwards instead of inward  :woot:). It would do you a world of good for your icefishing pursuit as well. Then when the wind is blowing hard on the Delta, you will turn and face it instead of turning your back to it :woot:
Good luck to you this year Blue.

Hey guys. I have a line on a lake that has been producing decent lakers. I am going into it on thursday 25th. About a 1km hike through 4 ft of snow off the main logging road. Any takers? I only have room for one but we can caravan if a few want to come. PM me for details ;)

Well we're not tenting it, but definitely going to get an early start to the day. I'm thinking 4 or 5. So far there's going to be 4 of us going to a spot that produced a nice podium of lakers last year with TGF and Fishslayer  ;) My cameras on the fritz but I'm sure one of the guys has one on their phone.
