Another big bookie

Just as I was about to pack up and go home this one came swimming towards the camera. It weighed 4lb 7oz  what a fight, took a lot of drag off my reel before I managed to get him on the ice.



A lot of girth to these fish.



And heres some of the others caught today also. Both a little over 2lbs

Just outta curiousity....How big is the average Brookie up your way?

Down here in NH they run pretty small (usually 8-14")  The state considers a 16" 2lb Brookie to be a trophy...

I got a nice one last summer that was 3-1/2 lbs and a few this winter between 2-1/2 and 3"

Great brookies all the way around!!  Amazing at the color difference.  The BC brookies look to be native, which is a nice thing to see.

Hey Dukes was it a early afternoon bite? In how deep of water? Been going for those but only getting rainbows in 10 ft. Is it just brookies in that lake? Nice fish man ! :icefish:
