MyFishFinder.com Just like iceshanty but warmer
That paradox brewery beer is unbelievable. Its almost too good.
was there much water on top of the ice besides at the ramp?
Well today was my first time fishing for lakers anywhere and I was doing something right and something wrong! lol.... had about 20 laker chase my jig anywhere from 20-50ft in the water column and not strike however I did manage to get 2 to hit... a 12" and a 16" so i did something right there just couldn't reproduce the results with the other fish. It was pretty cool seeing them just appear on the flasher and charging in and the schools of smelt or whatever periodically coming around.... any tips for me?Also the launch behind stewarts is pretty slushy along the shore
My only suggestion is , decipher perch from lake trout. If they are just coming 2 ' off , move .Find a hump , flat and small hole . Fish around there , move around there. Just open water is just a shot at a fish passing through. 30-60 fow is easier to figure out then 60-100 fow , Good luck
I was fishing 67 fow on the drop offs... and most the time was jigging around 40ft.... when i was jigging towards the bottom those were the ones chasing it about 40 ft up then just turning away
^ Do that. If you are using the right jig you can also make them pick it up off the bottom when they are being really picky.
Had that as well, a few days prior.
One day it was all I could get them to do. Fun to watch with zoom on....and more fun because you get to really sting them rather than them catching the jig.
I swear I read an article once where the author suggested doing just such a thing....
Here's the article in question:http://www.in-fisherman.com/trout-salmon/lake-trout/the-final-temptaion-of-ice-fishing-for-lake-trout/Maybe you know the guy???
I've seen that guy out there fishing The only thing that guy didn't mention was whether or not he will use fish attractant on those days when the bite is slow
I would hazard a guess maybe he didn't want to give all his secrets away at once
Boy they will let anyone write an article for In-Fisherman won't they. Haha!
I remember when you were mostly a tip up guy
You'll remember again soon if he updates his Lx7 software!!!!
I might have to go back the way things are going for me. I can't wait to find the anti venom for this snake bite.
Don't take that tipup talk. Tell him you're now among the elite, you jack jaws!
At least I don't have to stop at the pet shop to pick up a fresh hamster.
