just wondering if there is anything that people use to soak there bait in before taking it to the hard water that would make it more effective? i saved a big sucker and am going to chop it up and freeze it till i get to go fishing and was wondering if it would work better to soak it in something while it sits?

fish sauce, the thai food cooking type - works for lakers feeding on smelt, haven't tried for other species.
