The metal roof came in 8 x 3 sections. I cut it with a 4 1/2 grinder with a cutting blade.  I figure I'll wait for 7-8 inches of ice before I put it out.

Almost done!

Dude w/ your ingenuity, you oughta be able to leave them tires on, roll it to the lake, ice, then slid the tire up via somekind of slots- then the skis would sit on the ice. Just like I have seen them trailers,w/ the crank up axles.

Great looking shack there, not too shabby at all for your first one.  you should not have to upgrade for a long long time.  great design and hope you have lots of fun this winter with it.

Sebago Lake, Maine

No fish yet, they call it Slow-bago for a reason.

Hasn't gone through yet has it?? Seems I always hear of a couple people/trucks going through Sebago every year!! I'm from western maine over by sunday river!! Never fished Sebago though!! Thats a great looking shack... I plan on building the same excact thing but mines going to be atop a pop up camper frame!! Nice and easy to pull with the diesel!!!

so its 6.5x8. Plus the bump out. What did you use for the walls? How much does it weigh? How hard is it to move around? Might get ahold of you and come check it out!! I'm only about an hour and a half from Sebago! That is exactly what I want!! with a sleeper and all!! haha I wanted to build mine on top of a trailer but if its light enough to easily move onto a snowmobile trailer than I'd just do that!! That thing is beautiful!!

Also what it the thickness of the plywood on the walls?

I used 1/4 luan for the walls. Over all the shack is pretty heavy due to the skis, wood stove, metal roof, etc.  It moves real easy with the plastic runners.
I put 2 holes, one each side of the bump out in the corners.
