i was just bank fishin for em, around the talkeetna area at the mouth of a creek, ( cant tell ya the name ) where it runs into the su river.....it was during august, so i dont know bout the ice conditions, but i think all the burbot and other resident fish move in to thelower reaches of the river come ice up time. but the action was constant, and i can tell you that at just about any river mouth where it meets the gray water of the su you can slay burbot all day long while picking up other resident fish and incoming salmon. great eatin too
