HELP!
«
on:

Going on a trip soon. Brand new clam legend xl thermal cabelas edition. Front pole on right side when sitting. Won't go in! Did before, and doesn't look bent. Other side slides nice. Used graphite spray and tried to collapse it with no result. Any help would be appreciated.

I used "DeepCreep" By Seafoam on my old Otter. Works Great !!! It's oil based though. Wipe up the excess... It is really slick stuff.

Can you take the bolts out of that pole and inspect it better? I'm sure that it will be a pain....but that's about all I can see to do.

I can take the front pole out..the one that has the problem. I'll do that tomorrow am inspect it closer. This thing just comes to a halt, it has to be bent some way. Hopefully I can straighten it.

Thanks for being there. Ya know I tripped over the thing last night putting some elk sausage in the freezer. I didn't think anything of it although I fell on my face and I did inspect it today obviously but, that's gotta be the problem. My clumsiness. It has to be bent to not collapse. No other option.

It's definitely bent fellas. Just Took the front apart and noticed it. It doesn't look to severe but now I have to figure a way to straighten it. I have some long steel screws left over from hanging my garage heater. I'll try and ease it into place with that. The pole doesn't look collapsed, so that's good. I'll let ya know how it turns out. I'd send pics but I'm aggregated with that process lol

I think I got her boys. Pole still had some bulging but was straight as I could get it. She slips on easy enough but just a hair tighter than the other side. No big deal at all.

I know this is a late post , but if you ever dent or bend a tubing piece , find a way to plug up the bent section and fill it with water and freeze it . Be careful not to let it swell to much . Gotta keep an eye on it till it's just right .
