Has it been decided where you are going? I am very interested in going too. I have room and would be leaving Calgary with lots of room in my truck.

Heading to Gull.

Ok.. just in case the part about where we are meeting at Gull got lost ..

We are meeting at Brownlows at 8:00
Remember that the Wooden Shoe has bait hooks and other yummy things for fish and people.
I have the Iceshanty.com Flag (it's black)
If you see it definitely come over and say hello..

Also... if any Gull lake pro's read this tonight and care to send me a PM to give me directions to the night time burb action is good.. some of us may stay that late...
Alternatively.... come join us and show us..... we'll even drill holes for you  :-)

I gotta work on the 27th. Might make it to Gull on the 29 or 30th tho. Weather is gonna be warmer all over the province, I may head North of Edmonton tho. Hav'nt decided yet where I'm going. Would like to meet some other forum members. Hmmm just may have to fish the 28,29,30,31 and the 1st. LOL. Gonna get a lot of miles on the truck this holiday season the way its looking. May have to head to the Conklin area one day too, 4.5 hr drive one way. Utikama sounds good too! Another 4 hr drive. Too many lakes to decide. Someone please kidnap me so I don't have to decide.

I'm headed north to Mink lake for jumbo's then to catch a limit of walleye on Utikuma on the same day or the next depending on how many we end up with. These two lakes are a tad north of slave lake. However if you want to catch lots of perch Cross lake Prov. Park is a great place to fish. Turn right after going on the ice and go about a km. and fish out from the weeds. Tight lines.
Fishing is an attitude especially when you have a 112 lb. halibut at the other end of the line two hundred feet down!

There was never a fish hatched I couldn't outsmart.

Well, as in any "hunt" sometimes it's successful and sometimes ... well.. No so..l. just depends on your measure of success.
I think that the hunt was successful as I wanted other people from the forum to meet each other and fish " under the Iceshanty flag"
and we all did that with different degrees of success.
Thanks to Icepack, SloughsharkJigger #1Younggun, GaryF, K-Low, Hayser and his new fiance(congrats you two) and Koho9 for all coming out. It was fun guys... let's do it again sooner than later.

Sorry i cannot make it but I have to go south and while I'm at it I will be going to lakes X for the Jumbos's

Correct me if I am wrong but is not Gull more of a white fish lake than perch?  Buddy of mine lives there and he always seems to be catching the whites.

SHOTGUN

Lake X is not the only place with large perch although Gull has only ever given me one of these and it was last year fishing with shackless and sloughsharkjigger.

Gone fishin', be back at dark-thirty!

Too bad you can't make it Brad. We will probably be going out on new years day also.

Wayne

I do have new years day off and I do think A trip out to Gull is in order. If you or anyone else is looking for round two maybe we could meet up?
