That's a good idea on your scoop, I really like that!  I use my scoop to measure the ice too, but it's always a rough guess with wet fingers.  Thanks for the pics!

Great tips.  Thanks and keep um coming.  One thing I did to my sled was put on  a little longer rope with a foot long piece of PVC on it for a handle.  Pulls better in slush and deep snow.
